I am representing an Australian company who is looking to create a Agile development team in Portugal and we are looking for several team members.The positions will be full time and with a negoitable wage (please tell me in your email what you are expecting to receive each month)These positions will only be filled after July 2011. There will be an informal "interview" process where you will be asked technical and non-technical questions.Please email me any questions that you have.The AreaWe will be creating quality mobile applications for Android. These will include using native and web technologies. We will also be porting existing iPhone applications for companies to Android.As the team grew in expertise we would start branching into other areas including iPhone apps, web apps and social media integrations. We will branch into any areas which we think contribute to our skills and help us to become a better development team.The TeamAlthough I am asking for the skills listed below, the most important factors are a willingness to learn and add value to any project that you do and a strong capacity to solve problems.Everyone in the team will work together on the same tasks. Everyone will have stronger skills in particular areas, but you will not have designated positions.Every team member will work together to learn,create and improve.If you have a degree or are self taught. If you have no work experience or 10 years. The most important thing is you know how to, and want to, learn.These are some of the skills we are looking for (the more you have the better, but one is enough to be considered)Programming language experience (especially Java)Knowledge about unit testing and programming for unit testingVersion control knowledgeExperience with issue trackers like JIRA or BugzillaAbility to create designs in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or Gimp, etc.Knowledge about cutting edge technologies Our Location and Work EthicWe will be working on Avenida da Liberdade in the city centre. The office where we are working is one of the best co-working spaces Lisbon. We will create a great working environment for our team and to encourage learning whenever we can.You will not be expected to dress in a suit every day or turn up at 9am.Your performance will be judged by your output not the hours you work.We will be working as an Agile development team working with the Scrum methodology so we will need to have a 15 minute meeting every day (this is will be decided by the team).Our AimWe want to create a team here that will work on projects sent to us from Australia.If we perform well the hope is we start producing projects with the Australian development team.We want to create a team that is happy to learn and improve constantly while working together to achieve the goals it sets for itself.About Me and Insight4I am Niko Roberts (www.nikoroberts.com) and I live and work in Lisbon.
